Live sport on Gamma IPTV: a match-day guide
Your subscription includes sports channels in the live guide, from studio shows to live matches. Sport is also the most demanding thing you can stream, so this page covers how to check an event before you pay and how to keep the picture steady when the score matters.

Sports channel groups
Sports channels sit in their own groups, usually by country, so you can jump straight to them from the guide.
The TV guide is your fixture list
Where channels provide program data, the guide shows upcoming matches. Add the channels you follow to favorites.
Several qualities of one channel
Some channels are listed more than once at different qualities. On a slower connection, a lower one is steadier.

Ordering for one big event? Ask us first
Event availability can vary by region and change at short notice. If you are subscribing mainly for a specific match or tournament, tell us which one and where you live. We will tell you honestly what we can confirm — and we would rather you did not order than be disappointed on the day.

Match-day checklist
Seven things to do before kick-off
Live sport is when everyone in the street is streaming. These steps make the biggest difference, roughly in order of impact.
- Test the channel an hour earlyNot five minutes before. It leaves time to fix anything calmly.
- Plug in a cableEthernet beats Wi-Fi on busy evenings, every time.
- Restart the router and deviceA fresh start clears memory and reconnects to the best route.
- Pause other streams and downloadsGame updates and cloud backups are silent bandwidth hogs.
- Use one screenRemember your plan's screen limit if friends are watching on phones too.
- Keep a backup qualityNote a lower-quality version of the channel in case your connection struggles.
- Have our number readyIf something goes wrong, send the channel name and time straight away.
Why sport is harder to stream
Fast motion needs more data than a quiet drama, and live streams cannot buffer far ahead the way films can. Add the fact that big matches happen when the whole neighborhood is online, and you can see why a stable connection matters more for sport than for anything else.
Questions
Sports questions
Is live sport delayed compared with TV?
Internet streams usually run a little behind traditional broadcasts — often by several seconds or more. If you follow live score alerts on your phone, consider muting them during the match.
Can I watch two matches at once?
Some player apps have a multi-view mode, but each stream counts as a screen. On a one-screen plan, watch one match at a time.
The match froze at a key moment. What should I do?
Go back to the channel list and reopen the channel, or switch to another quality version of it. Then send us the channel name and the time so we can look into it.
